2010 marks the Diamond Jubilee year of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Against the world famous backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, this landmark 60th anniversary will feature awe-inspiring colour and variety from the four corners of the globe.

The Tattoo is considered to be a flagship Scottish event, but one which comes with a very global flavour. In its 60 year history, more than 12 million people from around the world have watched performers from over 40 different countries.

RBS is delighted to support this event, and to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee year we are giving away tickets to TWO fantastic evenings.

  • First prize is a pair of VIP tickets to The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on 23rd August 2010. There are 25 prizes to be won.
  • 13 runners up can also win a pair of tickets to the final performance of the Tattoo on 28th August 2010

Competition is open to Royal Bank of Scotland customers aged 18 or over who are UK residents. Competition not open to employees of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group of companies, their families or anyone associated with this competition. Winning customers will be required to provide account details to prove their status as an RBS customer. All RBS product holding customers are eligible to enter but must provide proof of their customer status upon successfully being chosen as a competition winner.

One entry per person. Entries are not returnable. They, and the copyright for them, become the property of the promoter. Entries must be submitted online at www.rbs.co.uk/thehubtattoo and be received by 23.59 on Sunday 15 August 2010.

Entries not submitted in accordance with these rules, delayed, altered or incomplete will be disqualified. Proof of sending by e-mail will not be accepted as proof of entry.

The prizes will be awarded to the entrant who correctly answers the question and who, in the judge's opinion, writes the most apt and original tie-breaker. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Prizes are not transferable and no cash alternative is available. There are first prizes and runners up prizes to be won. The prizes consist of:

First Prize
  • A pair of VIP tickets to The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on Monday 23rd August to include: Champagne Reception, Dinner and performance with seating in the East Stand. There are 25 prizes to be won.
Runners up Prize
  • A pair of standard tickets to the final performance of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on Saturday 28th August with seating in the East Stand. There are 13 prizes to be won.

'Winners will be informed by telephone and email within five days of the closing date, when information about the winners will be available by sending an SAE to 'The Hub Military Tattoo competition (Aug 10) Winner List' c/o M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, 36 Golden Square, London, W1F 9EE. If you are unable to attend the event on the date set by us, no alternative prize will be offered. The prize would then be offered to the next entrant who correctly answered the question and who, in the judge's opinion, provided the most apt and original tie-breaker.

The winners agree to take part in publicity in connection with this competition.

If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made to contact the winners the promoter will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it sees fit without any liability to the winners for having done so.
